MOSS at the Library

The gorgeous weather today was perfect for a visit from Montana Outdoor Science School (MOSS) for the 'Fun at 1:00' program! The focus of the lesson was that of water. Kids (& parents) learned about the different forms of water, then set off to explore the different stations. At one station a water cycle game provided fun & some bracelets, while another station experimented with the different properties of water, and yet another station allowed young scientists to observe some water life!

Young scientists observe aquatic creatures

Kids experiment with the properties of water--
Can you make a paperclip float? How many drops of water can you fit on a penny? How many pennies can you fit in a glass of water before it overflows?

An afternoon well spent? Most definitely!
